At SolacePsych, your privacy, comfort, and wellbeing are treated with the utmost care.
This page outlines important information about confidentiality, telehealth, professional standards, and what you can expect as a client.
Confidentiality
Everything you share in therapy is treated as confidential.
Information will not be shared with anyone without your consent, except in the following circumstances:
There is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
There is a legal obligation to disclose information (for example, by court order).
Your file is subpoenaed by a court.
These situations are rare, and we will always discuss any need for disclosure with you wherever possible.
Session notes and records are stored securely in accordance with Australian privacy laws and the APS Code of Ethics.
Telehealth Sessions
All sessions at SolacePsych are delivered online through a secure video platform.
Telehealth allows you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home, while maintaining the same level of professionalism and confidentiality as in-person sessions.
For the best experience, it’s recommended that you:
Find a quiet, private space for your session.
Test your internet connection and audio before joining.
Use a computer or tablet positioned at eye level.
If there are any technical issues during a session, you will be contacted to continue via phone or reschedule where needed.
Communication & Boundaries
To maintain professional standards and protect your privacy, SolacePsych does not provide therapy or crisis support via text, email, or social media.
Email communication is used only for scheduling, sharing practical resources, or brief follow-up information.
SolacePsych aims to respond to messages within 1–2 business days.
For urgent matters, please contact emergency or crisis services listed on the Contact page.
Record Keeping
Session notes and personal information are stored securely and in compliance with AHPRA, APS, and Australian privacy legislation.
Records are retained for a minimum of seven years after your last session before being safely destroyed.
You may request access to your records in writing at any time.
Accessibility and Inclusivity
SolacePsych welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and respectful space for everyone.
SolacePsych acknowledges the diversity of human experiences and identities, and aims to ensure that each client feels seen, valued, and supported throughout their therapy journey.
