At SolacePsych, sessions are designed to feel calm, supportive, and collaborative - helping you find clarity, confidence, and balance in your everyday life.
What to Expect
Your first session is a space to talk about what’s been happening, share your story, and what you’d like to gain from therapy.
We will take time to understand your background, discuss your goals, and explain how therapy can best support you.
Ongoing sessions are collaborative and focused on exploring insights, building coping strategies, and creating meaningful change at your pace.
Therapy is a process, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time. You might choose to book weekly or fortnightly sessions depending on your needs. Between sessions, you’re encouraged to reflect on insights or strategies discussed.
All sessions are 50 minutes in duration and offered via secure telehealth.
Fees and Rebates
Individual Therapy
Each standard 50-minute session is $220.
SolacePsych aims to keep therapy as accessible and affordable as possible.
Session fees are set below the Australian Psychological Society’s (APS) recommended schedule of fees, to help make quality care more attainable for clients seeking support.
Medicare Rebate
With a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP or psychiatrist, you can receive a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session.
The out-of-pocket cost per session is $121.05.
Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The rebate can be processed on the same day as your appointment.

SolacePsych recognises that financial and systemic barriers can make it difficult to access consistent mental health care. To help address these challenges, a limited number of reduced-fee appointments are available for clients experiencing financial hardship or other circumstances that affect affordability.

Private Health Insurance
Private health insurance rebates may also be available, depending on your policy. Please check with your provider for details.
WorkCover & CTP
For clients under WorkCover & CTP, sessions are billed directly to your insurer, so there are no out-of-pocket costs for approved claims.
If you’re booking under WorkCover or CTP, please provide the following information prior to your initial appointment:
Claim number and insurer/case manager contact details
Date of injury
Referral letter from your GP or Nominated Treating Doctor (NTD)
Approval from your insurer to attend the initial consultation
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you.
To allow fair access for all clients:
Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice – no fee applies.
Cancellations within 24 hours – $50 late cancellation fee applies.
Same-day cancellation or non-attendance – $100 fee applies.
Cancellation fees will need to be paid prior to your next session.
We understand that unexpected things happen. If you need to reschedule, please reach out as soon as possible to avoid fees.
Important: Medicare rebates cannot be applied for appointments that incur a cancellation fee.
